This week in maths we have looked at statistics and data handling. We learnt what a tally chart was and how to use one. We investigated what year 2’s favourite ocean animal was. Later in the week we were given a picture full of people and had to record their t-shirt colours and short colours on a tally chart before transferring that information to a bar graph.
This week we have completed our ‘special writing’ task. This is a task we do three times a year in a very special book that stays with us throughout our time at Necton.
This week in science we carried out a mini beast hunt looking at microhabitats. We found lots of different creatures. We also used boxes to make different larger habitats and thought about the animals that would live there.
This week in art we used a range of 2d shapes to make a dinosaur!
This week we had a tea party to celebrate the end of our quizzes and for everyone trying so hard! We were very lucky to have delicious cakes made my Lilly’s mum! We all had a drink, cake and later in the week an ice lolly!
Well done to George who earned his RED TED top just in time for Friday! It was fantastic to see so many of the class in their RED TED tops on Friday. Keep reading over half term.
Maisie and Mikey had a fantastic time with Ella and Oliver. They have not gone home this week due to the holiday, they will resume their adventures after half term!
We all tried really hard in the cross country team competition. A special well done to Harvey, George and Logan who came first, second and third.
Have a fantastic half term, I can’t believe how quickly this half term has gone! Thank you for all your continued support. I look forward to seeing everyone in a weeks time ready for our last half term together!
